John Woodfield’s clients are families, individuals and business owners who understand the importance of a comprehensive wealth and investment plan driven by the lifestyle they want to lead.

Often, his clients have been through a transition in life. This may include relocation, selling a business, receiving an inheritance or losing a loved one. In every situation a client is taken through the “partnership process.” This process provides clarity for each client’s very personal situation. Clarity flows to insight, which forms the basis of planning. This is an eye-opening experience for those involved.

John’s parents instilled hard work in their three children. His father was an avid investor and John found the envelopes that arrived periodically containing numbers and charts fascinating. He wanted to know more and quickly learned about markets and investing.

As a teenager John started a successful landscape business and ran it through university. He had a desire to make people’s lives better. This experience working directly with people, and his understanding of the financial world, led him to a degree in commerce and full certification as a financial adviser in 1993.

John is a founding member of SWAN Wealth Management (an advisory team of Raymond James Ltd). He graduated in 1989 with a B.Comm from Mount Allison University, is a Financial Management Advisor (FMA), a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and in 2007 was inducted as a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI).

When he is not advising clients or devising strategy, John enjoys the outdoors, biking and skiing. His passion is spending quality time with his wife, Tiffany, and their twin boys Carson and West.
